Stock Search International Inc. conducts two mail bid auctions of antique stock and bond certificates every year. One is held in the spring, the other in the fall. The current Spring 2001 Mail Bid Auction (#12) opened on April 23, 2001 and bids will be accepted until May 18, 2001.
I wish to participate as a buyer...
Since this is your first mail bid auction with us, please note that the prices indicated in the catalog are "Minimum Bids," meaning you cannot bid a lower amount. Once you request a Spring 2001 Mail Bid Auction catalog, we will send you a fully illustrated selection of old stock and bond certificates comprising more than 800 lots. Your bid sheet has to be mailed, faxed or e-mailed back to us by noon on May 18, 2001.
Unlike other mail bid auctions, we open our phone lines during the last two days so you can obtain the high bids on your favorite lots. No new bids will be allowed after noon on the closing day to allow fair auctioning and all "high bids" will be reduced to the nearest increment above the second highest bid. A 10% premium will be added to the hammered price of each lot you are awarded.

To consign material in our mail bid auctions, you will first have to join our Old Certificates Collectors' Club. The Club's annual fee of $15.00 offers, among other benefits, the exclusive right to sell your own certificates through our bi-annual auctions reaching more than 1,500 qualified scripophilists. For an entry fee of $5.00, your consignment will appear with a description and a photo in our fully illustrated catalog. If the lot sells, we will keep a 15% retainer of the hammered price (minimum $15.00). Please note that we reserve the right to select all lots to be auctioned.
